CHANGES TO CLEAN SCOOP CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
We have had horrible cooperation from the weather for the first 3 events and our on the air time has been limited so the club decided to change the qualification for the certificate. Now you only need to QSL 5 of 7 of the Special Events to get the clean scoop certificate !!
Good Luck and 73 from SEKARC

July Meeting Saturday 7/29

It looks like the weather on Saturday is supposed to be pretty nice ( at this point ) so SEKARC is having it's July meeting starting at Hardee's for breakfast at 9am, then after some coffee and a biscuit we will head to the Crawford County Historical Museum about 10am as we have done before!

We will setup some radios and antennas, get on the air and have some radio fun. There is plenty of room for multiple setups and lots of trees !!

We have a few things to discuss and plan for. Among those is the upcoming EchoLink functionality for our repeater, a possible Special Event Station at the Little Balkins Days celebration and early talks for a Winter Field Day!

So install the echolink app on your phones, tablets and laptops and we can help (if you need it) on the initial setup. If it is online then we can all try to connect but we will provide an update of the project.

We have talked about, for several years of having a tent/booth set up at the Little Balkins Days and operating a special event station from there. We welcome new ideas and projects so come loaded with your activity suggestions for SEKARC !!

We have had several new hams and some studying for the exam so this is a great chance to meet the gang, get some tips, enjoy a good breakfast and find out the the SEKARC is all about FUN and HAM RADIO!! See you there !!
