CHANGES TO CLEAN SCOOP CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

We have had horrible cooperation from the weather for the first 3 events and our on the air time has been limited so the club decided to change the qualification for the certificate. Now you only need to QSL 5 of 7 of the Special Events to get the clean scoop certificate !!

Good Luck and 73 from SEKARC

Recommending Amateur Logic TV

This is a great little show on Ham Radio and other electronic building projects. The guys put on a nice production with new shows once a month. I highly recommend the show that we usually watch on our ROKU box since they have a ROKU channel and it's in full screen HD! But they are also available on YouTube and directly from their website at www.AmateurLogic.tv.

They cover all aspects of amateur radio, and one of the hosts is based out of Australia and that's something you don't see that often. Each month they take viewer emails and usually have 2-3 projects from antenna building, arduino and raspberry pi builds to videos from manufacturers and hamfest! Give them a view... here is the description from the current episode below !

AmateurLogic.TV 62: It’s Alive!
  • George gets the Raspberry Pi Echolink node on-the-air. Solving the GPIO problem, building a relay interface for the Pi, and using a Circuit Writer pen to create a PC board.
  • Tommy reviews the new DHAP. A Hardened case, computer, power supply and more for your D-Star DVAP access point.
  • Peter does some time lapse photography with the Raspberry Pi camera module. Plus the usual tech talk and witty banter you can always count on.
