Eyeball QSO / Planning Meeting
Hello, SEKARC is having it's September meeting at Fire Station #1 in Pittsburg on Saturday September 30th at 9am. We will have breakfast, coffee and donuts available. We have added a few new members since our last fire station meeting so we hope you can all attend.

FT8 on a Light Bulb Dipole?
Jim, W6LG tries FT8 using light bulbs as the antenna and communicates with another ham in Canada. The distance was 750 miles or about 1200km! Someone was talking about this at the coffee qso this week !!

Receiver Test Elecraft K3 vs Yaseu FT450
This is an interesting video comparing the rx signal between an Elecraft K3 and the Yaesu FT450. Value he gave for the K3 was $5,000 as he had it setup and the FT450 was about $500. As I right this, I have no idea which is which in the examples. So give it a listen and see what you think?
