Great meeting Saturday! I think those that attended saw that the new meeting place is top notch and will work out great for meetings going forward! Special thanks to Jim Tuggle from RACES which presented a program on RACES including what it is, what they do and how we can get involved! See the embedded slide show which he presented below!
We had a few new guests and new member sign ups! I think that going forward SEKARC will have a role in emergency communications in the Southeast Kansas area. One VIP was the Crawford County Emergency Coordinator Eldon Bedene! We look forward to working with him going forward on many fronts. After the meeting many of us went to Schlanger Park and set up some remote radios! If the weather cooperates we will do the same in October.
The fire station is an excellent location for the meetings and all of us cannot say enough nice things about the firemen and the welcoming they gave our group! A few of us were given a tour after the meeting, so next month stick around and maybe you can look around. What a great facility and Pittsburg should be thankful and proud of the station and the citizens that serve there!
